We're excited that you are interested in joining this family of talented musicians who are passionate about creating music together. We hope to make your audition experience as smooth as possible by providing all the information you need to know.

1. Find and sign up for an audition time for your respective instrument at the Duke Music website provided here:

   • ​http://music.duke.edu/ensembles/audition-information

   • You should be able to access the online sign-up portal at the top of the aforementioned webpage.

2. Please prepare and expect to play the following:
   • A solo of your choice (approx. 5 minutes worth)​
   • Sightreading

• This audition is also the audition for private lessons

• This audition is also your seating audition for the year

• Relax and take a deep breath. We know you may be nervous but everyone is cheering for you. We look forward to seeing you soon!
